STORY:
Hailing from his final season with Toronto in 2005-06, we have the last mask worn by Belfour while with the club, with this example photo-matched to his final Leafs game, March 10, 2006. Featuring Ed’s wonderfully executed trademark eagles gracing each side with his customary “Make-a-Wish Foundation” design over the chin section, the back plate has additional custom graphics showcasing a 1941 Willys advertising Ed’s racing company, named after his Carman, Manitoba hometown. The interior padding is present and accounted for including added velcro for the cloth forehead accessory, with dual-colour strapping to coincide with the placement of the custom graphics. A signed LOA from Ed Belfour will accompany this gorgeous mask.
A decal from the maker Warwick remains affixed to the interior, with additional handwritten information behind the chin section and near the left ear, with a sticker from mask artist Armor Graphics along the top of the mask. Exhibiting just very light surface wear, the mask remains in gorgeous condition, with the graphics bright, bold and problem free. Getty Image #57050812 from March 10, 2006 (Belfour’s final Toronto Maple Leafs game and the ONLY game in which he wore that MASK, as he was out the rest of the season with a back injury) has been matched to the marks on the upper right strap, and to all the details of the paint job on that side as they perfectly match-up. The helmet will be also accompanied by a black carrying/storage bag with Warwick graphics.
