Inside the Art Shop Studios of Goalie Mask Collector

Behind every great goalie mask is more than a talented painter. It takes a professional studio, specialized equipment, premium materials and a team that understands how to transform an idea into a finished work of hockey art.
As of today, Goalie Mask Collector operates with six independent art shops working full time at the same time. Each studio is fully equipped and organized to handle every stage of the painting and finishing process, allowing our team to produce multiple professional projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
Six Fully Equipped Independent Studios
Each GMC art shop functions as its own complete production environment. Our artists have access to professional airbrush stations, ventilation systems, spray booths, mixing equipment, paint libraries, drying areas and the specialized tools required to work on goalie masks, cages and individual components.
This structure gives every project the dedicated space and attention it deserves. While one studio may be preparing and painting a custom mask, another may be completing clear coating, powder coating a cage or finishing the final details on a collector tribute.
The result is a highly organized operation built for both quality and consistency.

NHL-Caliber Goalie Mask Artists
GMC works with some of the most talented and experienced goalie mask painters in the world.
Our artists understand that a goalie mask is not simply another painted object. Its curved surfaces, vents, contours and separate components require advanced preparation, layout and airbrush techniques. Every design must flow naturally across the shell while remaining recognizable from every angle.
From bold team-inspired graphics and classic tribute designs to highly detailed custom artwork, our painters bring professional-level skill to every project. Their experience allows them to create masks that reflect the appearance, depth and finish expected from top-tier hockey artwork.
These are not mass-produced designs. Each mask is individually prepared, painted and finished by hand.
Premium Paint and Professional Materials
Great artwork begins with the right materials.
Our studios maintain extensive selections of professional automotive-grade paints, toners, pearls, metallics, candies, flakes and specialty finishes. These materials allow our artists to create deep colors, precise shading, brilliant metallic effects and unique visual textures.
Our painters carefully mix and match colors for each individual project. Whether the design requires a traditional team color, a subtle vintage tone or a highly reflective modern finish, every color is selected and prepared specifically for the mask being created.
The shelves, mixing systems and airbrush stations shown throughout our studios represent years of professional experience and investment in the craft.

Powder Coating and Clear Coating In-House
GMC also completes professional powder coating and clear coating in-house.
Goalie mask cages can be professionally prepared and powder coated in a wide variety of colors to complement the finished artwork. This provides a durable, uniform finish and gives the cage a fully integrated appearance rather than making it feel like a separate component.
Once the artwork is completed, the mask receives a professional clear coat. This critical final stage protects the painted surface while adding depth, gloss and visual impact. Multiple finishing steps are used to create the smooth, polished appearance expected from a premium collector mask.
Keeping these processes within our network of studios allows us to maintain stronger quality control from the beginning of the project to the final inspection.

A Team Dedicated to Excellence
Our art shops are always active.
Every day, our professional team is preparing shells, mixing colors, painting artwork, coating cages, applying finishes and completing final inspections. Multiple projects move through the studios at once, but each mask remains an individual piece of artwork.
Our artists are dedicated to precision and constantly work to improve their methods. They understand the expectations of serious collectors and the importance of producing a mask that looks exceptional both in photographs and in person.
This commitment is what separates GMC from a standard production operation. We are not simply processing orders. We are building collectible pieces that represent players, teams, memories and important moments in hockey history.
