Vintage Goalie Masks Are Reloading: Fuhr, Cheevers, Dryden and Our Final Bernie Parent Autographs
Before the flashy graphics and modern cages, these were the masks that defined an era.
Some goalie masks are more than equipment. They are instantly recognizable pieces of hockey history. And now, another incredible batch of vintage goalie mask tributes is reloading at our Montreal and Tampa stores!
For collectors, the 1970s and early 1980s will always hold a special place. The bold colors, hand painted character and larger than life personalities made this one of the most unforgettable periods in goaltending history. Each mask has its own story, and each design brings back memories of the legends who wore them.
And yes, we still have a soft spot for these old beauties over those square cage masks that arrived later in the 1980s. Just kidding... sort of!
Legendary masks, with signature editions on the way
Most of the masks pictured will soon head through our patented Signature Edition application process, bringing together vintage artwork and authentic autographs for collectors.
- GRANT FUHR: Vintage tribute masks planned with Fuhr's familiar autograph.
- GERRY CHEEVERS: The unmistakable stitched mask design, with Cheevers' signature.
- KEN DRYDEN: These tribute masks will remain unsigned, as collectors familiar with Ken's feelings about signing goalie masks will understand. A little collector inside joke!
- BERNIE PARENT: A particularly meaningful release featuring autographs from our final remaining stash of Bernie Parent signatures.
A special tribute to Bernie Parent
Bernie Parent was not only one of the greatest goaltenders of his generation. He was part of the heart and soul of hockey's golden era, helping Philadelphia capture back to back Stanley Cups in 1974 and 1975. His legendary mask is forever woven into the history of the sport.
With Bernie's passing in September 2025, these final autographs mean more to us than ever. Once our remaining signatures have been used, that chapter of our Signature Edition collection will come to a close. We are grateful to help preserve a small part of his extraordinary legacy in the hands of collectors who truly appreciate it.
Rest in peace, Bernie. Your legend lives on.
