SOLD! DOUG FAVELL:It's a very bittersweet, sad and happy day today at Goalie Mask Collector, as the FIRST EVER painted goalie mask in the NHL history is no longer our property. In dramatic fashion, it was sold during the last seconds of our year end sale last evening at 11:57pm. What a show stopper. What a historical piece filled with the weirdest anecdotes.
I'm super happy that at least, the mask is going into one of the best goalie collections out there. 
I will try to find the time later today, to upload the ENTIRE history of this mask, all the news reports, restoration pictures, theft story, vandalism and original state of the mask.
