Marc-Andre Fleury: Third Goalie in NHL History w/500 Career Wins🏒🥅
Marc-Andre Fleury became the third net-minder in NHL history to reach 500 career wins with a 2-0 victory over his childhood team, the Canadiens earlier this season. After a very poor start to the season, Fleury has since bounced back well. In 36 appearances, he has a 16-17-3 record, 2.88 goals-against average (GAA), and .910 save percentage (SV%).
Of the 837 goalies to ever play in an NHL game, Fleury has further cemented his legacy as one of the game's all-time best as just the third to ever reach 500 wins.
He's done so playing for three teams across 18 NHL seasons: Pittsburgh (375 wins), Vegas (117 wins) and Chicago (8 wins).
Martin Brodeur - 691 wins
Patrick Roy - 551 wins
Marc-Andre Fleury - 500 wins
Fleury joined Hall of Famers Martin Brodeur and Patrick Roy as the only NHL goalies to win 500 career games. Doing so in his 901st career appearance, he did so in fewer games than either needed to reach the mark (Brodeur - 908 games, Roy - 933 games).
