Ken Dryden: The dynasty generation

KEN DRYDEN won six Stanley Cups with Montreal during the 1970s. For collectors, his mask evokes an entire championship era.

Some pieces bring you straight back to childhood. A Dryden tribute mask does exactly that for fans who grew up watching those Canadiens teams.

Patrick Roy: The belief generation

PATRICK ROY backstopped Montreal to the Stanley Cup in 1986 and 1993, earning the Conn Smythe Trophy both times. His 1993 run included ten overtime victories, the kind of hockey that keeps fans talking decades later.

For the Roy generation, a mask on the shelf can bring back the tension of overtime and the belief that Montreal could find a way.

Carey Price: The calm generation

CAREY PRICE holds Montreal’s record with 361 regular season wins. His 2015 Hart and Vezina awards underline his extraordinary peak.

For fans who grew up with Price in net, his name carries a familiar feeling: confidence. His place in a Montreal mask collection represents years of loyalty, anticipation, and memories shared with family and friends.

Jakub Dobes: The next chapter

Now JAKUB DOBES gives a new generation someone to cheer for and collectors a new story to follow. His legacy is still being written, and the excitement is in seeing where it goes.

Dryden, Roy, and Price set an extraordinary standard. Dobes has his own journey ahead. Could he become the next defining Montreal goaltender?

We’re already seeing that enthusiasm among our collectors. We’ve sold and shipped more Dobes masks to clients in the USA than to Montreal itself, including one now heading to Connecticut. That passion travels! 🇺🇸💙

Honorable mentions: The pioneers who came before

GEORGES VEZINA helped establish Montreal’s goaltending tradition; the Vezina Trophy was named in his memory.

JACQUES PLANTE helped transform goaltending by making the mask a regular part of his game after November 1, 1959.

For a community built around goalie masks, those roots matter. Our four featured generations are part of a much longer Montreal story.
