Jonas Hiller 2012 Anaheim: Matte black & 24k pure gold

MAN! This mask is so goddamn delicious!!! ☀️💛

Featuring our 2012 JONAS HILLER Anaheim tribute goalie mask, finished in matte black with a 24k pure gold plated grill. Nearly 15 years after our first custom order, this design still gives us the exact same feeling.

The mask that started it all for us

We remember 2012 like it was yesterday. A client custom ordered this mask, and honestly? We had no idea how we were going to execute it.

We had no matte clear coating. We had never gold plated a grill before. That combination was completely new territory for us, and this mask pushed us to figure it out.

For us, this was the mask that started the whole obsession with gold grills and matte clear coating. It was way ahead of its time. Straight out of SoCal, with an attitude you could feel just by looking at it.

It was the flyest, most delicious thing we had ever seen.

Matte black. Pure gold. Pure Southern California.

The contrast is everything. The matte black shell keeps the finish understated, while the polished 24k gold plated grill catches the light from every angle.

White side panels, palm tree silhouettes, Anaheim lettering, gold details and that fine orange outline bring the whole design together. Turn it around and the illustrated figure on the backplate gives you another reason to stop and look.

There is so much character here, but it is that matte and gold combination that keeps pulling us back.

Nearly 15 years later, the feeling has not changed

We finally got to recreate it a second time. After all these years, you might think the excitement would wear off.

Nope. Not even a little.

Seeing that gold grill against the matte black finish again brought us right back to the first build. The same excitement. The same admiration. The same ridiculous grin.

MAN. SHE IS SO. HOT! ☀️💛

Some designs stay with you. This is absolutely one of them.
