FINAL THOUGHTS: SERGEI BOBROVSKY EXPERIENCE

Come behind the scenes with me, as we wrap this amazing Sergei Bobrovsky signing experience in Miami!

What an incredible experience it has been.

It's been nearly 15 years that I've been in the memorabilia game.

At the beginning of my career, it used to be about chasing the autographs, chasing the big names, beating our competition, getting the victory of who got the signing first, who made the most sales, who has the rarest items.

But now, being a dad, I have to say that my professional goals have completely shifted.

Now, for a signing project, it's all about:

-How can I involve my son in this?

-How can I get this thrill and excitement to be a part of his DNA?

-How can I get him to appreciate and to see how lucky he is to be a part of this adventure?

-How can I instill this love of goalie masks and memorabilia in him?

-How do I groom him to take over the business in 20 years?

Those are now my main driving goals.

Well this weekend truly showcased how easily and naturally all this can be done.

Sergei Bobrovsky is a dad of 3 young children as well. So naturally, he was just so cool and welcoming to Oasis.

He shook Oasis' hand first in the parking lot, before he even said hello to the other grown ups.

I had already taken Oasis to a Panthers' game, and Oasis saw the cup get hoisted in Sunrise, FL last season.

So in the car ride to the signing, Oasis was already chanting: "Go Cats Go! Go Bobrovskyyy!"

Seeing my excitement, he was already cheering me on too, saying: "Dad, We're gonna go see Bobrovsky today??? I'm gonna be good, then you're gonna go buy me a new toy!"

"Dad, is Bobrovsky gonna sign my mask? Is he gonna inscribe my name?"

So his excitement was already there.

But to have Sergei acknowledge his excitement, when he had his little 4T Panthers' jersey on: That just makes it extra special.

Now, when we complete a signing, it's all about keeping ALL IN THE GOALIE MASK FAMILY.

It's about:

-Having family fun

-Keeping it light and chill

-Having a great time

-Loving the game

-Creating timeless memories

and...Grooming the next generation to take over the business one day!
